As a young adolescent, I had several experiences with varying clinicians. I quickly discerned which therapists reasoned with my parent’s line of thinking versus those who genuinely wanted to help me to be my best. After working with one particular therapist with whom I connected, I felt that if something positive could come out of these experiences, I would love to use the perspectives I have gained and help others, which ultimately lead me to my journey into psychology and becoming a clinical psychologist.
